October 20th meeting, poem from Sara from prompt from Janet

Sometimes I feel like the leaves in the Fall.
I go along being my normal
Boring "green" self.
Something happens:
A word from a friend
A Bible reading the hits my soul
A dream at the just wake time
And gradually my "green" fades
Little by little
Till
My true colors show
Now it's not always a pretty color
Maybe it's a boring drab brown
Or gray
But maybe it's the vibrant orange
Of being able to tell someone I love them
Or the deep red of heartfelt peace
Or a bright yellow of just being glad I'm alive.
